Frequently asked questions
Everything about pricing, booking, day-of-move logistics, storage, and long-distance moves.

How do you price moves?+
Local moves are billed hourly with a two-hour minimum (crew + truck). Long-distance moves are flat-rate, based on weight and distance. Every quote is written and signed before we start.
Do you charge for travel time?+
For local moves we bill from arrival to completion — no truck-yard time on your bill.
Are there hidden fees?+
No. Every charge is disclosed in your written estimate. Stairs, long carries, or heavy items are called out up front — never billed as a surprise.
How far in advance should I book?+
May–September we recommend 2–3 weeks. Off-season, a few days is usually plenty. Same-week bookings happen often — just call.
Do you offer free estimates?+
Yes. Virtual or in-home estimates are always free and never obligate you to book.
Can I reschedule if plans change?+
Yes — reschedule up to 48 hours before your move at no charge.
How long will my move take?+
A typical 2-bedroom local move runs 4–6 hours. Larger homes take 6–9. Your written estimate has a specific hourly range for your job.
What do I need to do the day of?+
Have everything boxed unless you booked packing. Pull cars out of the driveway. Reserve elevator time if you're in a building. That's it — we handle the rest.
Will you disassemble furniture?+
Yes — beds, tables, and shelving are included. We reassemble in your new home.
Do you offer storage?+
Yes. Palletized, monitored, and inventoried. Short-term (a week) or long-term — pay only for the space you use.
Will the same crew unload at my new home?+
Yes. We use dedicated trucks and the same team from door to door — no shared freight, no swap-outs.
How long does delivery take?+
Most Midwest long-distance moves deliver within 1–3 days. Coast-to-coast is typically 3–7 days. Your estimate includes a delivery window.
